On the 16th of February 2025 the world regrettably lost a venerated veteran, an enthusiastic educator, a champion of change, a menti, advocate for adventure, and exponent for equity whose name was Carl Cecil Daugherty. Born in Germany, Carl lived a life filled with strife and still succeeded through every challenge. The story of his hardships finally ending in a restful peace that was hard fought and well earned. May that same determination, confidence, dedication, thirst for knowledge, and brightly burning fire be carried on by his beloved and caring wife Nydia Daugherty, highly beloved daughter Samantha Daugherty, and his enduring son Albert Daugherty. May the best memories of Carl’s life that forged him be taught and shared by his loving siblings Lee Daugherty and Sandra Gallegos Maples. May the lessons and changes taught by Carl Cecil Daugherty be felt, cultivated, and versed by the people who knew him well. Rest easy, your knowledge will be carried and passed down by us. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, talents, and powers with us, may they forever live within us and help us continue growing.
