November 20, 1933 – February 18, 2021
Catalina was called home to the Lord on February 18, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born in Hidalgo Del Parral, Chihuahua on November 20, 1933. She lived in El Paso, Texas over fifty years.
Catalina was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her passion was spending quality time with all her children. She loved cooking and caring for her family. She was most happy when her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren came over to visit. Anyone who knew her loved her presence, she was very charismatic-always making people laugh. Catalina was a selfless, compassionate, strong and courageous human being who will be deeply missed.
Catalina was preceded in death by her mother and father; Jose and Dolores Flores; brothers; Asuncion Flores-Mendoza and Gabino Flores-Mendoza; sisters; Rita Flores-Mendoza, Iginia Flores-Mendoza, Maria de la Luz Flores de Ibarra, Maria Flores de Tarango, Felis Flores de Maldonado, and Francisca Flores de Palomo; son; Ernesto Ibarbo; daughter in law; Hildelisa Ibarbo. Catalina is survived by her loving children; Antonia Mendoza, Raymundo Ibarbo, Carlos Ibarbo, and Manny Quezada Jr.; her grandchildren whom she loved very much, Roberto Mendoza III and Priscilla Cadena Reichelt; Yvonne Ibarbo-Muῇoz and Diana Ibarbo; Jose David Ibarbo, Raymundo Esteban Ibarbo and Abigail Castillo; Hildelisa Ibarbo, Karla Ibarbo, and Katalina Raquel Ibarbo ; Jennifer Campbell and Mellicent Campbell; eleven beautiful great-grandchildren; sister, Manuela Flores Mendoza (Mela). She is also survived by her son in law; Roberto Manuel Mendoza; daughter in laws; Carmen Ibarbo and Rosa Ibarbo. In addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She touched so many lives and will be dearly missed by all and will always be in our hearts.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
