Catalina was known to many as “Katy.” She was a beautiful and loving mom, a supportive wife, a wonderful grandmother, an encouraging aunt, an empathetic friend, and a courteous neighbor. Catalina was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church and held onto her faith until her last day. She enjoyed gardening, watching sports, cooking, and volunteering at Thomas Manor Elementary School, where her love for children was evident. Catalina gained an extended family, as everyone who knew her quickly came to see her as a second mom or grandmother. She had an infectious smile and giggle always accompanied by warm, engaging conversation. Catalina was a hand you could hold, a shoulder you could lean on, and a soul you could admire. Her reassuring voice and presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love—an impact that will be felt for generations.
