Chester Smith Haley

Chester Smith Haley, 83, was born in Busti, New York on October 2, 1927. He was a twenty year resident of El Paso, Texas. Mr. Haley passed away January 19, 2011. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Ruth M. Haley, daughter Deborah A. Eller, son in law David A. Eller, and the “apple of his eye” his granddaughter Shinae E. Molina and the latest addition to his family his great granddaughter, Jocelynn Ava Molina. Mr. Haley is also survived by two sisters, Ethel Spencer and Emma Prine, two brothers, Allen and Fred Haley all of Jamestown, New York and numerous nieces and nephews, especially James Spencer of Moore, South Carolina, Leo Himes of Fairfield, Maine, and Paul Himes of Jamestown, New York. He was preceded in death by his brothers Clyde and Robert Haley.

His pain and grief are over now. He is now at peace, breathing comfortably and is safely home forever.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Association.
