Clair J. Southwick

It is with profound sadness that the family of Clair Southwick announces his passing on May 13, 2025, at the age of 81. Clair was born on June 20, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Annie Southwick, parents Lee and Eunice Southwick, brother Duane Southwick, and step-daughter Sharon Maxwell.

He is survived by his children Brenda Young (Robert), Duane Southwick, Kimberly Funke (BJ), step-daughter Ginny Bryant (Danny) and step-son Wade Maxwell Jr. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends and family that honor his memory.

Clair was retired from the U.S. Army and Civil Service after working over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and many projects that kept him busy during retirement. We wish to thank special family members during this difficult time for their assistance with Clair’s care until his passing.

Graveside Service will Military Honors for Clair will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
