In her 101 years, she had a full and adventurous life and left memories for her family to always rejoice in. Born in 1917, Clara and her sister Francis were raised in an orphanage until they were 17. She then went on to military service.
She proudly served our country for 30 years; 20 years in the United States Army and 10 years at William Beaumont as a nurse. During her time in the service she served in Korea and Vietnam. She was assigned to assist General Eisenhower during a health scare in which she recalls his love for Idaho potatoes and the game Parcheesi.
After volunteering for her second tour in Vietnam, she retired a Lieutenant Colonel in her hometown of El Paso, Texas.
She will be deeply missed by her nephew, Ben A. Endlich, her nieces Marie Daugherty and Barbara Jean Molinar, 16 grand nieces and nephews and more great grand and great great grand nieces and nephews than can be counted.
Reuniting with her in heaven is her sister Frances Endlich, her niece Betty Jo Main, her nephew Robert Endlich and her grandniece Kirsten Main.
Her legacy will live on and her stories never forgotten.
