Cruz Ortega, our beloved mother and grandmother was called home on February 14, 2016. She was born May 2, 1933 in Guadalupe, Mx. to Expectacion and Primitivo Provencio. Her two sons; Victor Hugo and Victor Hugo II preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters Nora De La Rosa (Ralph) and Linda Lopez (Rick); sons Ruben Ortega (Norma) and Rene Ortega (Edna). Mom was a resident of El Paso, TX and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was affectionately known as “Mom” to all 15 grandchildren, Dianne (Carl), Christina, Ruben Jr., Mark, Daniel, Eric, Ben, Victor, Briana, Karely, Evelynn, Danielle, Alysha, Lauren, Alyssa & one great grandchild, Connor. Our mother had a heart of gold, loved unconditionally, and selflessly gave of herself. She had a great sense of humor and loved spending time celebrating birthdays, graduations, holidays, and vacations with her children & grandchildren. She was one of a kind and we were blessed to have had her as our mother. We will forever carry her spirit and love for us in our hearts.
