Domitila Herrera

Herrera, Domitila, 92, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother has been called to heaven. She was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua on May 12, 1922 and moved to El Paso, Texas in 1954. She is preceded in death by her husband David Herrera Sr. and her daughter Cruz Irene Herrera. She is survived by her daughter Elvia Herrera, son David Herrera Jr.; grandchildren Raul Herrera Sr. and his wife Yvette Herrera, Claudia Herrera and her husband Greg Vela, David Herrera III and his wife Cynthia Herrera, and Adrian Herrera and his wife Ruby Herrera; great grandchildren Andrew Raul Herrera, Raul Herrera Jr., Paulina Marie Vela, Andrea Renee Vela, Alyssa Nichole Herrera, David Jonathan Herrera, Ashley Jordan Espinoza, and Anthony Joseph Herrera; and devoted family member Angelina Rey. She was a religious woman who taught us to believe in God and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her family came first and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She taught us to respect others and ourselves. She lived life to the fullest and left us with endless beautiful memories. Grandma, your family loves you and will forever carry you in our hearts. Thank you for spoiling us with all your love. You will be deeply missed. Pallbearers will be Raul Herrera Sr., David Herrera III, Adrian Herrera, Andrew Herrera, Raul Herrera Jr., Greg Vela and Honorary Pallbearer will be David Herrera Jr. Visitation will from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 am on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
