Dorothy Elizabeth Cassaretta Waters

Dorothy Elizabeth Cassaretta Waters was born in Memphis, Tenn, on December 17, 1918,. She married Dr. Earle H. Waters, Sr, They moved to Corpus Christi, TX to raise their family. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 16, 2013. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Earle H. Waters, grandchildren James Geddes and Coleen Hipp. She is survived by her children Sharon Geddes and spouse Charles, Ann Hipp and spouse Col. Gerald Hipp, Earle Waters, Jr., Barry Waters, John Waters and spouse Barbara, Donald Waters and spouse Gail Darling. She had 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children. She was very active in her church, an avid quilter and crafter. She never met a stranger and was a feisty, independent lady. She did it her way and died with her boots on.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere, El Paso, Texas 79912. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, New Mexico 88008.
