

Eddie was born on November 5, 1936, in El Paso Texas, graduated from Bowie High School in 1956, where he was acknowledged for his athleticism in football and track and field. Legendary singer and saxophonist for “the Rhythmairs”.
He was devoted to the Catholic Church, work (Phelps Dodge, United Steelworkers) music (Jazz) and family and served in the Army National Guard from 1955 to 1958.
Eddie married his devoted wife Elvira on June 6, 1963, and together raised a family of seven.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 63 years Elvira, his greatest joy and proudest legacy was his family Jose Arturo (Sara), Sergio (Magda), Eddie Jr , Ismae l (Bertha), Irma (Inez), Gilbert (Yvette) and Margarita (Linda), leaving behind a beautiful heritage of 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Public viewing 5 PM - 9 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home Monday May 25, 2026, viewing from to 9 PM, Holy Rosary at 7 PM.
Funeral mass will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church on Tuesday May 26 at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Eddie’s unwavering kindness, generosity and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
