Elizabeth Colleen Tomlinson

Elizabeth “Colleen” Tomlinson, a true angel of God, passed away on April 6th, 2017. Colleen was the beloved daughter of William H. and Mary E. Tomlinson, and a treasured sister to Robert Tomlinson, Wayne Tomlinson, Anne Tomlinson Hill and Lance Tomlinson, along with many nieces and nephews. Colleen was born on February 17th, 1963 in Okinawa. Her birth was a gift from God as she showed us how to love unconditionally, to laugh and cry, and to enjoy the simple things in life. Colleen was loved to the fullest even with all the challenges put in her path. Having Colleen as a daughter and sister made our lives better and we know God has taken her with Him now to continue His work, just a different plan. We will miss her laugh, her elf-like chuckle, calling us the nicknames she associated with each of us, but most of all the bear hugs she would give us each time we were together. May God adore her, protect her and keep her safe within the wings of angels. We will love her always, we will cherish our memories, at the same time wishing we could have given more to her. Colleen, the youngest of all the siblings is the lucky one as she is now with her Mother and Father enjoying their company until the day comes when we are all united as a family once more. The service will be family only on Thursday April 13, 2017. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the Down Syndrome Foundation.
