Elvia Ochoa Sigala, 72, passed away September 6th, 2021 peacefully in her home in El Paso, Texas after her battle with cancer. She will rest harmoniously in her columbarium at the Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are done by Crestview Funeral home.
Elvia was born in CD Juarez, Mexico to Paula and Victor Ochoa on December 5th,1948. She is survived by her father Victor Ochoa, her baby Sasha (her dog), her brother Victor Daniel Ochoa, her daughter Yesenia Sigala Cano, her son Eric Sigala, her grandchildren; Ashley Chaires, Alex Priego, Alexis Chaires, and Victoria Cano, her great grandchildren; Ellie Priego and Saylor Priego who is on her way.
She was a garment worker in El Paso for most of her life. She enjoyed her line of work very much, and the wonderful coworkers she met that became friends. She knew everybody in the city. Anywhere you would go with her someone recognized that bright smile from anywhere. She was a fashionista with her outfits and she never left the house without her makeup, hair done, accessories, and jewelry on. She enjoyed watching her novelas, painting her nails, cooking, dancing, singing, and talking on the phone for hours. Also was the master at making cute origami money fans. She collected many dolls, flowers, just about anything that someone gave to her she kept. Most of all she was the strongest, kindest, most loving soul that God blessed us with here on Earth.
A big thank you to Dr. Nathaniel Ng and Dr. Roberto Prieto for their care and service.
