I remember when my grandpa would always help me with everything he was everything to me I love him so much and I will always miss him he made such a big impact in my life I will never forget him he would always makes jokes and he always knew how to make me laugh may my grandpa Rest In Peace and I hope to see u again I know not soon but some day grandpa I love you🥺❤️

To all the Brown family,  my deepest condolences to you all. May God grant you comfort and peace. 

I met Eric 44 years ago when we worked together at DHS.  He was my coworker, my supervisor,  but most importantly he was my dear friend.  Our friendship endured all our work career and  changes in our lives, and we managed to keep in touch even after retirement. I could always count on his kindness,  humor, and  sincerity.  

He was a great friend to me and my husband Mando throughout the years.
Despite his illness, he reached out to me when Mando passed away last October. Even though we hadn't seen him for years, he managed to give me comfort and support through texts. He had been a part of our lives for over 40 years, knew us well, and I knew he was so sincere in his words of comfort and prayers.  He even surprised me with a canvas picture of our wedding and another of a family picture to give me memories of him.  That's just the kind and caring person he was. Good friends like that are rare and I was blessed to share this long friendship with him.  I will truly miss him and will treasure the memories we made throughout the years. 

Eric, dance and sing with the angels. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear Eric, when I think of you what comes to mind,
the no-nonsense, private, and respectful kind.

But for some of us that were blessed to have the chance,
there was so much more than what we saw at first glance.

Yours was a sharp mind that stayed on top of finance and the news.
Besides family, your greatest joy was challenging those with opposite views.

Your memes were endless and made us laugh.
But dear Eric, as your friends and former staff,

Oh, how I miss the daily texts analyzing Wall Street’s ups and downs.
Somehow you could always transform my frowns.

In 32 years, Eric, you went from being my first supervisor at Texas Department of Human Services (now HHSC) to my mentor and followed by being a close and beloved friend.  You were so humble when I ‘d point out that “back in the day” you mentored and trained more future supervisors than anyone else in Region 10.  Consequently, you were respected and admired not only by your employees but also management.  I loved the political memes you would share with me.  The memes were hilarious.  Thanks for the laughs!  I was honored when you would ask me to pray for you as your illness was getting tougher to live with.  Goodbye, Eric…until we meet again.

Oh dad where do I even start that I haven’t told you..! I once text you this and I will repeat again..!
Having a father in law like you is such a joy, your thoughtful, caring and dear, always so willing to give me a hand, able to comfort and to cheer.
Not many father in laws would do what you’ve done, and that’s something I am very very great full. Words are not enough to describe what it means to have a father in law who accepted for me to call DAD as special as you.
I will forever miss our talks in the garage or in the gas stations when I would meet up with you. I am great full god gave my son 2 grandfathers he was truly blessed, thank you for loving him. I will miss him giving you only you fist bumps👊 I will for sure miss our political and stock market talks, your algebra memes and buying you your carton of smokes every Monday. I knew you didn’t want to leave this world but god whispered in your ears and wrapped his arms around you and said it’s time to go, with a broken heart we stay but with happy memories we stay, I know your happy now and cure now that your walking by gods side, surround by his glory ..

My wonderful, sweet, caring and hard working dad. How I will miss you so. I never ever wanted this day to come. You truly were the best father I could have ever had. Your love for us was felt everyday. That is what I’ll miss the most. You were the glue to our family and although were broken hearted. Together me, Mariana and your grandchildren will mend the broken hearts we have by keeping your memory alive. I will miss seeing you in our home. Hearing your voice. Telling me “I’m doing great” “stalk market is up” “I’m sorry what” because you could never hear us the first time but then again you didn’t agree to the hearing aid. If you only knew how many times me and Mariana would bet on whether or not you would hear us the first time. Sometimes I would tell Mariana. Watch I’m going to scream and see if he doesn’t say “what” and every time you would say “I’m sorry what?”. 

I’m grateful to have been blessed with such an amazing dad. Now you and Lisa rest together. Save me a seat until we are all together again. I love you dad. 

Eric,  you will be dearly missed.   Thank you very much for always being thoughtful, keeping in touch, wishing us a wonderful day.  It is comforting that you are now resting in eternal peace  and no longer in pain.  Monica and family,  wishing you comfort and resignation knowing that you all brought joy and happiness to Eric. To the family of my dear Eric, my condolences to you all. My best memories with Eric were way back when he was my supervisor at the department of human services. He was such a great boss the best in my opinion. Never did he make me feel he was better then anyone else , very down to earth and understanding. Simply the best. Still can't believe he is gone. He will be missed and may he rest in peace. Eric I have the best memories left, I will never forget everything you did  and what a great person you were with me.
