Fernando Aguilera

Fernando Aguilera, 84, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026. Born in Sierra Blanca, TX on September 29, 1941, Fernando served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Merchants Fast Motor Lines after 30 years. Fernando knew many trades. He built his home in Socorro, TX from the ground up and raised a family in this home. His passions were camping, fishing and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents Cornelio and Timotea Aguilera and his son Fernando Aguilera Jr. He is survived by his wife Maria Elena Aguilera of 56 years, children Jesus Aguilera (Luz), Sandra Morales (Raul), Claudia Torres (Jim). 10 Grandchild and 7 great grandchildren.

Fernando was always willing to help family and friends with any projects that they needed done. His big heart will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, on January 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Rosary Service will take place at the same location on January 27, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass is scheduled for January 28, 2026, at 11:30 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, El Paso, TX 79927.

The Graveside Service will be conducted at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906, on January 28, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
