Fernando Rivera

Fernando Rivera , age 91, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, surrounded by those who love him. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of service, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

Fernando proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Fernando is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Manuela Rivera (Nelly). Survived by his children Carolyn Isabelle Ramos (George), Fernando Rivera Jr. (Alice) and Fernando Carrasco, 7 grandchildren, 17 greatgrandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. His sisters Terry Vasquez (Victor+), Aurora Hernandez (Hector+), Consuelo Lara(Eduardo), brothers, Tony Rivera (Lana+) and Ignacio Rivera (Margarita), along with several nieces and nephew's who all brought him immense joy.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Fernando Rivera Jr., Fernando Carrasco, Rene Rios, Victor Vasquez, George Ramos, Arthur Ramos, Bobby Ramos, and Andrew Ramos.

A visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, on February 4, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm the following day. A rosary will be recited on the same day at 7:00 pm.

The funeral mass will take place at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 3021 Frutas Ave, El Paso, Texas 79905, on February 5, 2026, starting at 11:30 am.

A graveside service will be conducted at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906, on February 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
