Francisco "Kiko" Chavira, Jr. was taken by the Lord on October 28, 2012. Kiko was born March 24, 1938 to the late Francisco Sr. and Manuela Chavira in El Paso, Texas. Also preceding him in death are his brother, Hector, and sister, Eva. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Socorro, their three daughters, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Dina, six grandchildren, Craig, Kyle, Daniella, Iris, Sadie, and Rocco, aunt, Teresa, his three sisters, Lola, Lydia, and Lori, and several extended family members and dear friends. Kiko was a 32° Scottish Rite Mason who dutifully served his country throughout his life; first as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later as a civil servant at Ft. Bliss for 34 years. He will be remembered fondly as a hard-working leader who inspired many and put his family first.
