Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Francisco “Kiko” Enriquez, 94, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2021. Born on October 4, 1926, in Parral, Chihuahua, MX, he is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Margarita Enriquez, their three children, Luis Gerardo Martinez, Ruben Enriquez, and Norma Flores, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Kiko was equal parts playful, introspective, and driven. His fortitude spilled onto the basketball courts, qualifying him for the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. In recognition of his athletic prowess as an all-time high scorer, Kiko was inducted into the “Salon de la Fama del Deporte Fronterizo” in 1989.
Kiko was a faithful and committed member of Centro Cristiano Vino Nuevo (and Vino Nuevo El Paso) since its inception.
Services to honor his life will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N Carolina Dr, El Paso, TX 79915. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., with vigil beginning at 6:00 p.m. Burial will take place on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, New Mexico 88008.
Kiko will be profoundly missed. His family will always hold him close in their hearts.
