In loving memory and recognition of our beloved father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Francisco “Lalo” M. Dominguez was called home to the Lord with a very peaceful spirit after a battle with illness. He was touched by the Lord’s inner divine heart and responded well to healing, which was transmitted to his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was highly regarded as the number one street department heavy equipment operator for the city of El Paso by director Ross Hickcock, and was selected as finish blue top persistence greater operator for the new development Sunrise subdivision in the early 80’s. Throughout his career he built strong relationships with engineers’ Mr. Dorado and Mr. Luevanos. Often he was requested by our border city neighbors in Juarez, Mexico for his expertise in pavement preparation. After thirty years of service for the city of El Paso’s street department he retired as the area supervisor from their west side location.
He had a passion for softball and was regarded as one of El Paso’s top fast-pitch pitchers. His talent was discovered by high level softball teams in Juarez, Mexico and he was highly recruited for his pitching and athletic ability. He shared this joy and passion for the game with compadres Juan Holguin and Guillermo “Chiple” Ortiz.
On behalf of his immediate family we are blessed to have had him in our lives, and we know that God’s mercy is upon us. John 3:16
