Gabriel was born in Vinton, Texas to Santiago+ and Genoveva Munoz + on December 13, 1943. He attended Canutillo ISD and later married the love of his life, Yolanda + where they both made a loving home in Anthony, Texas.
He was employed by Border Steel for 18 years and retired as Fab Shop Foreman in the late 1980’s. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and camping with his wife and children.
Gabriel is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Yolanda+, his father Santiago+ and his mother Genoveva+
He is survived by his four children: Irma Sanchez (Michael), Gabriel Munoz, Jr. (Rebecca), Bonnie Moreno (Mario) and Terri Munoz.
8 Grandchildren: Mikey Sanchez (Jessica), Ernie Sanchez (Becky), Little Gabriel and David Munoz, Sammy Moreno and Matthew Moreno (Kassandra), Vanessa Quintero (Sergio) and Debbie Gomez.
6 Great Grandchildren: Anthony, Nathan, Aliyah and Nicholas Sanchez, Jayden Baez and Andy Quintero
5 Siblings: Santiago Munoz (Carla), Alicia Herrera, Elva Munoz Rios (Jerry), Yoli Munoz (Peter) and David Munoz (Irene) along with several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Gabriel will always be remembered as a hardworking, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Deddy, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
A rosary will take place on Saturday June 16, 2018 from 9:00 a.m to 9:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home – Doniphan Chapel with a Funeral Mass Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Services under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME. 5054 DONIPHAN DR. 587-0202. Burial to follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery 3061 Memorial Pines Sunland Park, New Mexico.
