2020, at her home in El Paso, Texas. Eva was born on January 3, 1933 in El Paso, Texas to Matias and Martinana Maldonado.
She grew up in Old Ft Bliss and graduated from Jefferson High School. She married her husband of 62 years, Jesus, on
September 21, 1957. A devoted mother, they raised three children, Daniel, Martha and Sylvia. She was also a valued employee,
working at Joske’s and Dillard’s department store. A beautiful and caring woman, she helped to raise her beautiful
grandchildren. She loved to travel, visiting various parts of the United States and Europe with her husband, children and
grandchildren. Eva also loved to dance with her husband every weekend to the various local bands she enjoyed. Eva and
Jesus were known for their excellent dancing and stamina well into their upper 80’s. She also enjoyed swimming and walking.
She said it kept her young! Eva was volunteer at the local hospitals. She enjoyed talking to others because of her giving
and selfless heart.
