George Perez

George Perez, born August 9, 1960, in El Paso, Texas was called to his eternal home December 9, 2024, at the age of 64. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Carolina Perez, his brother Luis Perez. Jr. and sister Maribel Perez.

George served in the Army and was honorably discharged in December 1980.

George had a kind heart, generous, witty and friendly manner when joking around. He had a quiet demeanor and was not one to rock the boat. He was very patient and humble. He saw the good in everyone, malice towards no one. He had a love for classic rock music, going to the movies, watching his favorite TV Show - Law and Order, and enjoyed eating at his favorite fast food restaurants. He is survived by his sisters, Beatriz Swearingen, Yolanda (Emilio) Macias, Alma (Ray) Leal, and brother Richard Perez. Numerous nephews and nieces, extended family and friends. His life long friend Patrick Causey was always there for him. His presence in our lives will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

We want to specially thank his VA Dr. Aaluri Srinivasan and staff, Texas Oncology Dr. Anuradha Gupta and Dr. George Mathews and staff for all their compassionate care.

Chapel memorial service will be on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:30pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Dr. El Paso, TX 79915. A procession to follow for the Graveside Service with Military Honors at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
