Georgette Elizabeth Nabhan Abraham fell asleep in the Lord on October 20, 2021. Georgette was a shining star in the life of everyone who knew her. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas in a family of 10 tightly knit children, she attended El Paso High School and married the love of her life, Mitchell Abraham. They lovingly raised four children: Annette Haddad (Bryan), Brian Abraham (Guadalupe), Frederick Abraham, and Mary Jeanine Lubin (Lance), adored seven grandchildren: Kimberly and Sammy Michael, Michael Abraham, Mariam Haddad, Rachel Lubin, Sandy Ducroc, and Angela Chavez, and delighted in four great-grandchildren: Sofia, Jamiliee, Bryan J., and Elena. Four generations joyously celebrated her 90th birthday just ten days prior to her passing. Georgette was the life of every gathering, endearing her many relatives and friends with her flashing dimples and infectious sense of humor. She was adored and admired across multiple cultures during the 60 years she and her husband ran Abraham’s Market. She was a woman of honor and strength, a true steel magnolia. Georgette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Mitchell, her parents, James K. and Mathilde Tahan Nabhan, brothers Jerome, Johnny, George, and Nick Nabhan, sisters June Signet, Ruby Huffman and Handumy “Norma” Tahan. Our radiant Mom, Nana, and Aunt Georgette will be deeply missed. Traces of a falling star always remain, and her sparkle will live long in the hearts of all who loved her. Her family is eternally grateful for the loving care of Christina, Michelle, Lupita, and Monica, and to Three Oaks Hospice and Dr. Dwayne Aboud for their wonderful care. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home West with a Trisagion service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at St George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 N.
