

Gloria O. Paz celebrated her birthday into her new life on January 7th 2015. She was able to bless us with her companionship for 78 wonderful years. She was welcomed with open arms by our Lord and family members passed. She is survived by her husband Lorenzo A. Paz whose love blossomed for 58 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her Brother: Claudio; Sister: Tonia (Richard) her children: Lorenzo (Tina), Lucy (David), Lisa (Humberto), and Laura. She is also survived by two of her grandchildren whom she unselfishly raised as her own Lorenzo (Elsa) and Charlie (Jessica): 6 additional grandchildren Amanda, Lorenzo, Christina, Alizza, Dakota and Cheyenne; and 4 great grandchildren Lorenzo, Jasiah, Serenity, and Devin. She retired after 20 years of service to the Ysleta Independent School District. Gloria was a vibrant woman, who enjoyed playing cards with family, spending time with her friends as she prayed the Rosary with them weekly, harnessing her skills as an artist of paint and sculpture, gathering with her friends from Amigas Dulce, taking a chance at the casino, or rooting for her teams the Cowboys or Miners. Her laugh and beautiful smile will forever be missed. Visitation: 5:00-9:00 pm Tuesday, January 13, at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7:00 pm.
