It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Gloria Estevis Yebra, 89, who was called Home on February 2, 2022, just sixteen days shy of her 90th Birthday celebration.
Gloria known as “Yoyis” to many had a zest for life matched by no other despite enduring the hardships of being orphaned at a very young age and later facing life’s trials and tribulations that left her a lifetime of grief. However, our patriarch was a warrior – “una guerrera fuerte hasta el final” with a fire inside her that burned profusely. It never ceased; it never extinguished for her love and hope were profound!
She was a beautiful soul inside and out who spoke with those captivating, radiant blue eyes that she loved to flaunt. Witty and funny, she never sugar-coated her words. Always matter of fact, direct, and sometimes brutally honest, but honorable and virtuous. It is no wonder that all who met her instantly fell in love with her personality. She was charismatic and loved making people laugh! She was everyone’s “Tia” and when she grew older became everybody’s honorary “Grandma”. She is etched in our hearts forever and leaves a profound void in our lives, but we find solace in knowing that she is rejoicing in heaven with the love of her life, our loving father and grandfather, Isidro Yebra, who provided her light when she only saw darkness. He gave her unconditional love and a lifetime of happiness.
Gloria is proceeded in death by her adoptive parents, Panfilo and Esperanza Estevis; her siblings Rodolfo, Romana, Carmen, and Ramiro Estevis; and her loving husband, Isidro Yebra Sr.
She is survived by her only daughter and devoted caretaker, Angelica Yebra, Son, Isidro Yebra Jr. (Isabel); her grandchildren Jessica Rivera (Johnny), Miracle Yebra (Adrian), Isidro Yebra III, and Iliana Yebra; her great grandchildren, Salvador Yebra, Johnny Rivera, Jonnae Rivera, Victoria Arrieta, and Jonah Rivera; she also carried Manuel and Salvador in her heart.
