Harry was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and loyal friend whose greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family. He especially cherished his boys — Kristopher Brown, Phillip Malpass, Justin Brown, and William Brown — and took immense pride in guiding them through life. Through his words, and the life he lived, he taught them the importance of hard work, independence, and self-sufficiency, while also showing them the value of family. Some of their most treasured times were spent hunting, fishing, and camping also working alongside him, sharing laughter, stories, and creating memories of simple joys of the outdoors and life as he embraced it.
Harry was born in Ingelheim, Germany, relocated when the family moved to El Paso, TX and attended Andress High School before joining the army.
Harry was preceded in death by his mother, Christa Brown, and his sister, Patricia Brown Vasquez. He leaves behind his four sons; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Gene Brown and Ted Brown; and his sisters, Diana Brown Talamantes and Sonja Brown Garcia. He also leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, generosity and loyalty, including Trudy Marshall and Donnie Malpass, whose friendship and support meant so much to him over the years.
Harry will be deeply missed, and his passing leaves an immeasurable void. He will be lovingly remembered and forever carried in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
