

Harry L. Chapel, 78-Harry was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on August 6, 1939. After the loss of his mother at an early age he was raise by his grandmother, Ella Garner and his aunt, Esther Mae Johnson. Chapel was baptized at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in El Reno. He was a faithful member of The Gospel Service at Fort Bliss since 1968. After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School he decided to join the military. He served his country honorably for twenty-two years and was medically discharged in 1980. Harry met and married his wife Voncile in 1968. They were happily married for 49 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Vincent K. Chapel, two brothers Edward Lang and Kenneth Gipson. To cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Voncile (Birmingham, Alabama); 3 sons Byron Chapel (El Reno, Oklahoma); Harry L. Chapel Jr. (Clearwater, Florida); Michael S. Chapel (Dallas, Texas); and 1 daughter Denise Payne (Brandon, Florida). He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family and friends.
