Homer was born on December 20, 1929, to Eva Cepeda and Jose Nuñez in El Paso, TX. Homer retired in 1992 as Vehicle Maintenance supervisor and Accident Investigator for the U.S. Post Office main branch in El Paso, TX. His siblings Horacio “Boomer” Nuñez and Dina Vargas also preceded him in death.

He will be dearly missed by his family. May God Bless you Dad as you rest in peace with Mom and our heavenly loved ones. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their loving support, kindness and prayers. We are very grateful for the gentle dedication of care by Irma Ordoñez and her sisters, Nena and Olivia. We thank Hospice of El Paso for guidance and medical care in recent months.
