She is a graduate of Ysleta High School, where she was a member of the first and only all female Ysleta Drum Corps. She lived an active and happy life where she served as a Safeway employee for 25 years, before retiring. Additionally, she served 10 years as an employee of the EPT Management Company, where she enjoyed working with family and friends. She was a woman full of life, strength, fun, laughter, friendship and companionship. Her many attributes will live on through her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Carmen Duran, her brother, Eloy Armando Duran, and her brother-in-law, Norman Borrego.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gilbert Federico Jr. (Lynda), Lori Ann Federico, Rene Elias Federico (Adela), and Lisa Marie Hinojosa (Rafael). She is also survived by her loving sister Gloria Borrego, sister-in-law Sara Duran and her life partner Joe Quesada. Her 7 grandchildren, Ida Villalba, Charlie Conant, Alexandra Komaromi, Xanthia Parsons, Waverly Federico, Rene Federico Jr., Christopher Federico, and her great grandchild, Amari Federico. She has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly. Ida is now eternally dancing amongst the stars!

A funeral mass will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 131 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907. An inurnment will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1:15 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
