It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ida Lucero, born on August 11, 1979, in El Paso, Texas, at the age of 46.
Ida brought great joy to all who knew her. She was a loving and selfless soul whose kindness knew no bounds. Always ready to help, she often put the needs of others before her own without hesitation. She was an extraordinary sister, daughter, wife, aunt, cousin, and friend—someone truly irreplaceable, and for whom we are endlessly grateful. To many of her nieces and nephews, she was more than an aunt; she was a second mother, offering guidance, comfort, and unconditional love.
She found joy in life’s simplest moments—listening to music, spending time with family, sharing meals, and watching movies—while embracing her love for nature and travel. With her playful spirit and contagious laughter, she brought light wherever she went. Deeply loyal and full of love, she treasured quiet moments of beauty and shared that joy generously with everyone around her. Her warmth, compassion, and love will live on in our hearts forever.
Ida is survived by her husband, Ruben Chavira; her mother, Genoveva Lucero; her father, Roberto Lucero Sr.; her sisters, Corina Lucero Salas (Rene Salas) and Sabrina Lucero; and her brother, Roberto Lucero Jr. (Johanna De La Peña).
