Ignacio A. Lujan

Our beloved father, Ignacio A. Lujan (Nacho) was called home by our Lord on Aug. 26, 2014 at the age of 91. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Guillermina Lujan, his son: Ignacio Lujan Jr. (Ceci); and daughters: Dolores L. Hernandez and Lupita Lujan. He was a loving grandfather to Marcos Lujan, Christopher E. Hernandez (Kerry), Laura Cheung (Justin) and Aurora Lujan. He was also great-grandfather to Audrey Lauren Hernandez and Alanna J. Luna. Also surviving him is his sister, Genoveva Ontiveros (Ricardo) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceasing him were his parents, Ignacio and Francisca Lujan, brother, Isaac, and sisters Margarita Martinez, and MariaLuisa and Margarita Lujan. As part of the “Greatest Generation”, Nacho served proudly in the US Army in two Pacific campaigns during World War 11. He also served in the US Air Force during The Korean War. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00. Mass of Resurrection will be Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at 8:00 am at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
