Isabel Delgado

Isabel Delgado, a loving husband and father, passed away on January 5, 2018 at the age of 88. He was born in Smeltertown, Texas and was a graduate of Bowie High School. He was one of six children and was married to his wife Rita for 64 years. They have one son, Jim. At the age of 24, he joined The United States Air Force at Biggs Air Force base in El Paso and traveled the world with his family. His retirement at the age of 44 did not last long. He moved to California for 12 years where he started a new tortilla plant with family members. In 1997 he moved back to El Paso and built his retirement home in Horizon City. He and his wife Rita have been residing at Sunrise of Cielo Vista for his last two years. He is survived by his brother, Jesus Delgado, sister, Maria Elena Ontiveros, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Delgado was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Delgado and Juana Delgado. He was a wonderful husband and father and will always be remembered by those who knew him. A visitation will take place Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Hillcrest Funeral Home West, 5054 Doniphan Dr. El Paso, TX 79932, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will take place Friday, January 12, 2018 at Holy Family Church at 8:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
