Isidra C. Guy, 79, joined our Lord on November 10, 2018. She was born on May 15, 1939 to Soledad Garcia † and Dario Hernandez †. Chila was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX and graduate of Ysleta High School. She was married to her best friend and love Lloyd D. Guy, who preceded her in death in 1995. Isidra “Chila” was a godly woman and active member of the catholic community. Chila lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of love for her family and friends, love of her dogs and her patriotism. She is greatly missed and will always be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit. She is preceded in death by Siblings, Esperanza Gonzalez, Evangelina Sanchez, Dario Hernandez Jr. and Jose P. Hernandez, Step-daughter, Johanna Guy, Step-granddaughter, Julie Owens, Nephew, Joe Hernandez and Niece, Monica Espinoza. Left to cherish her memory is Brother, Federico Hernandez, Sister, Santos Gloria Espinoza, Step-son, Michael Guy, Step-daughter, Anne Brock, Step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina, with a Vigil at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, November 15 at 9:15am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at 11am in Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Monastery of Perpetual Adoration, 451 Mockingbird Road or Sisters of the Good Shepard, 8824 Old County Road.
