So many memories of your trips to NY with Uncle Toey, Aunt Irma  & Mandi.   This picture of you, DeeDee and I has always been one of my favorites.   Rest peacefully.  We’ll see each other again.

So many memories.....   Every one cherished.  You were you.  A one of a kind.  You will always hold a special place in my heart.  I can still hear you telling jokes and making everyone laugh. Asking my Mom to take you to Whataburger, ordering a root beer. I remember when you left for Desert Storm and I would wait to hear from you on those crazy phone lines. I was just thankful you were ok.  Missing you.....  You are loved. Prayers of comfort to your Precious Mother, your Strong Sister and the family who will miss Jai Anthony Keys.

Jai, Ginger, and I before prom about a million years ago. I think this picture says it all, he just lit up every room he walked into the entire time I knew him. We hadn't spoken in 30 years but the pain of his untimely passing is still so sharp! My most heartfelt condolences to the Keys family and all of Jai's friends. 

Walter, I feel your pain. I too lost my precious son,Blu. Walter, though they cannot come to us, we will go to them. And when we do, we’ll pick up a basketball game. You and I, two old men, against our “prides and joys”. I love you Jai.  Mr. H.

My sincerest condolences to the family. Jai was a friend, and a great competitor. We were basketball and baseball teammates and he made me better by challenging me to be my best. My favorite memory of him was during our junior year in baseball when he used the phrase “beam him up” whenever the team we were playing changed their pitcher. He was always smiling and never backed away from a challenge. My friend the big “KNIGHT” in the sky needed you with him by his side so he told the angles “BEAM HIM UP.” You will be missed Jai, Rest In Peace!

In junior high and high school Jai was always the brightest light in the room - so charming and funny. This was one of my treasured moments with him. He didn’t even take me to prom but came by so we could have a picture together. He was like a brother to me back then and I loved him. My condolences to Jai’s family and friends. Know that he touched many lives on his short time here on Earth.   

My condolences to the Keys family.  May the Lord bless you all with peace & comfort in knowing Jai is in his everlasting home 🙏 I spent time hanging out with Jai & the Hernandez boys growing up. He was a great guy... Not to mention great to look at too. It's  such a sad day when we hear of one of our former childhood friends passing.😔

I am heartbroken to hear about Jai’s passing. Jai was our neighbor growing up, and I remember him visiting even after his family moved away from Coralstone Dr.  His beautiful smile and laugh will remain a cherished memory for me. Rest In Peace my dear friend. 

A very charming and dynamic person no one could ever forget.  I am so very grateful we had a chance to visit a few years ago to catch up on our lives and laugh a bit.

So many childhood memories flood my mind when I think of Jai and the Keys household. Thank you for your friendship all these years, Jai. I know how you loved my mother’s tortillas. I am so jealous that you, Blu, and Ewis are enjoying them together once again. Until we meet again, my friend! Burro Brigade forever.

I grew up with Jai and I remember staying over at his house and we played basketball and I remember his dad making us breakfast. Some great memories I have growing up and hanging out with him. You will be missed.

Jai came into our lives with sweetness and spunk. He and my son Ruben were solid friends. I visited him his last days and he smiled  as I reminded him of happenings and friends of Ruben and Blu. Endless rides to practice, games, school, get togethers. Such funny, sweet, powerful memories! He knew Jesus so I know we will see him again. Had a revival with Christian music the last day I was there. That is a memory I will cherish forever. Thank you Irma.  Till we meet again Jai I remain “Ms H”. 

So sorry to hear of his passing. Was just mentioning him the other day with family who also knew Jai. 

Though we haven’t spoken in many years, I often reflect on my friendship with Jai. I knew him since elementary school and throughout our childhood growing up. Spent time in athletics and classes with him along with socializing as teenagers. Jai was always funny, friendly and the life of any crowd function. 

He will be sorely missed!  Rest In Peace Jai!
