James Joseph Beirne, 95, went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 18, 2018. Jim was born October 10, 1923 in Manhattan, New York where he attended New York University before entering the Army Air Corp in 1943. He retired from National Life Insurance after 35 years of service. This December he celebrated his 74th wedding anniversary with his loving wife Dorothy Paschich Beirne. He will be missed by his daughters Patricia Edens, Margaret Clarkson, Carolyn Wolter, his 8 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Second to his love of his family was his love of baseball, especially the Diablos and the New York Yankees. He was a proud WWII veteran, who considered everyone a friend. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5pm-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home with a Vigil at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 28 at 9:15am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
