

Nació el 9 de noviembre de 1927 en Valle del Rosario, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Leocadio Monge y Guadalupe Prieto. Desde muy joven fue un hombre trabajador. Quienes lo conocieron lo recuerdan por su bondad, su generosidad, su paciencia y un optimismo sereno que sabía transmitir. Jesús atribuía las cualidades que cultivó a Jehová Dios; para él, poner a Jehová en primer lugar era esencial, y animó a toda su familia a hacer lo mismo.
Jesús y Honorina compartieron 70 años de matrimonio. Juntos formaron un hogar con sus 9 hijos, y construyeron una vida marcada por el esfuerzo constante y el amor familiar. Disfrutaba de la agricultura; siempre mantenía un huerto de buen tamaño y una variedad de árboles, y encontraba alegría en compartir sus frutos. También valoraba profundamente el tiempo con su familia, su ministerio y la convivencia con sus amigos en la congregación.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Honorina Monge; sus hijos Alberto, Rolando (Libia), Sandra Marquez (Jose), Alejandra Stages, Nohemi Mendoza (Gerardo), Samuel Monge (Patricia); 16 nietos y 28 bisnietos.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus hijos Javier, Horacio y Joel; su nieto Jehu; así como sus siete hermanos y cuatro hermanas.
La visitación se llevará a cabo en Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, Texas 79932, el 14 de julio de 2026, de 4:00 pm a 8:00 pm.
El entierro se realizará en Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008, el 15 de julio de 2026, de 10:30 am a 11:00 am.
Jesús será profundamente extrañado por su familia y sus amigos.

Jesús José Monge Prieto passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on July 6, 2026, at 98 years of age. He resided in La Mesa, New Mexico.
He was born on November 9, 1927, in Valle del Rosario, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Leocadio Monge and Guadalupe Prieto. From a very young age, he was a hardworking man. Those who knew him remember him for his kindness, generosity, patience, and a calm optimism that he knew how to share with others. Jesús attributed the qualities he cultivated to Jehovah God; for him, putting Jehovah first was essential, and he encouraged his entire family to do the same.
Jesús and Honorina shared 70 years of marriage. Together they built a home with their 9 children and created a life marked by constant effort and family love. He enjoyed farming; he always kept a good-sized garden and a variety of trees, and he found joy in sharing their fruit. He also deeply valued time with his family, his ministry, and fellowship with his friends in the congregation.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Honorina Monge; his children Alberto, Rolando (Libia), Sandra Marquez (Jose), Alejandra Stages, Nohemi Mendoza (Gerardo), Samuel Monge (Patricia); 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his children Javier, Horacio, and Joel; his grandson Jehu; as well as his seven brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso, TX 79932, on July 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008, on July 15, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Jesús will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
