

Jo Anne McAuliffe born 2 September 1946 in Tacoma, Washington passed away Friday, 2 November 2012. She was a devoted and loving wife having been married to her husband, Walter, for 46 years. She is also survived by her two wonderful daughters, Tanya and Michelle, sister, Sharon Jeter of Dana Point, California and brother, Paul Hackler of Newport, Tennessee. Following her husband’s military assignments around the world, she had numerous jobs; Secretary, Administrative Assistant/Supervisor, Housing Assignment/Assistant Supervisor in Frankfurt, Germany, Logistics at the Presidio of San Francisco, and finally working for El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the HIDTA for over 21 years, retiring in 2006.
Jo Anne enjoyed crocheting, stamping, vacationing, playing slot machines and bowling, as witnessed by her being Secretary for the Fort Bliss Veteran’s Mixed League in excess of eight years. She was also an associate member of the El Paso Sergeant’s Major Association always assisting as necessary.

The McAuliffe Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:30 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
