He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Jara; his precious son, Eliseo Jara; his brothers; Alcelmo and Merced Jara, his sister; Rosa Aragon Jara, and his parents; Pedro Jara and Santiaga Munoz Jara. Jose Trinidad Jara was survived by his sister, Esperanza Huizar Jara, and his precious children; sons; Raul Jara (Mary Lou), David Jara (Magdalena), Enrique Jara; and his only daughter, Rosa Ida Tarango (Joseph). He left behind 10 glorious grandchildren - Michael Jara, Trinity Jacob Jara II, Anthony Paul Jara, David Aaron Jara, Andrew J. Jara, Nicholas A. Jara, Daniel Tarango, Melissa Tarango, Emmanuel Tarango, Jessica Faire Tarango, and his 4 beautiful great-grandchildren who will cherish his precious memories: Aracely, Isaac, Oceanna, and Aristotle. Jose Trinidad Jara was born in Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico, on June 1, 1930. He was the 2nd oldest of five children in his family. Jose Trinidad would have been married to his beautiful wife Maria Jara for 72 years this March. They were physically separated on this earth for only 3 weeks. Now they are both spiritually reunited in their eternal home in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In their early years of marriage, Trinidad migrated to Santo Tomas, New Mexico, to a location called Stahmann Farms in the ranch of Esperanza where his children were brought up. At Stahmann Farms, he worked in several trades for over 20 years. He made many friends there and some became his compadres. He considered the community of Stahmann, his family. He knew them well, a type of people that would lend each other a hand when needed. Trinidad very much enjoyed going to the Stahmann Farm's Reunions, especially when they were done at the former “Stahmann Store.” It brought him many good memories there and it was the place where he would meet up with most of his old buddies who worked with him at Stahmann.
Around 1974, Jose Trinidad uplifted his family and moved to El Paso, Texas, where he worked as a Maintenance Technician at the Mountain Pass Canning Company in Anthony, Texas. A short time after that, his son, Eliseo Jara, suffered a head injury while in the military. When the Army officials gave Trinidad the opportunity to go see his son, he didn’t hesitate and flew to Germany along with his oldest son Raul. About 2 years later, Eliseo was relocated to a hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Being closer to El Paso, Trinidad would take his wife and his 4 teenage children to Albuquerque to visit Eliseo every weekend for a whole year. Several times during that year, a caravan of vehicles belonging to the extended Jara family would follow behind on the journey to Albuquerque.
Jose Trinidad Jara was also a Christian man of faith. He was a church goer. He would take his young family to a little church in San Miguel, NM as often as he could. When he took them to visit his mother-in-law in Juarez, Mexico, he would go to the Catedral of La Virgen de Guadalupe. When his children grew up and moved out, he would go to the ‘Lady of the Light’ church, with his wife or by himself. Later, his daughter Rosa Ida would take him and his wife to “Templo La Hermosa” church every other Sunday. Trinidad enjoyed going to church and missed it very much when he couldn’t go. So, whenever Pastor Raul Martinez went to visit them at the house, Trinidad would be so happy to see him that he would perk up as soon as he saw him walk into the room. Pastor Martinez acknowledge that Trinidad wanted to learn more about God that he bought him a Spanish Holy Bible with big letters, easy to read and understand. Trinidad read his bible every day and was very inquisitive about it. Jose Trinidad Jara set a good example for his children showing them the importance of going to church and getting to know God by reading the Holy Bible.
Jose Trinidad was an amazing man, a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. He was a compassionate, generous, giving, kind, person. He didn’t express his love physically that often, but he did so by his actions. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family’s wellbeing. His family never lacked anything because he was a great provider and a teacher. He didn’t spoil his children, instead he taught them how to work for what they needed, a lesson well learned that now they practice with their own children. He was a hard worker and a loyal employee. He worked in many different trades because he was a fast learner. He was a very intelligent man. He would look at something, study it, and duplicate it, if not; he would invent his own version. He was a good brother, uncle, and friend to have. If they needed help, he was there to provide for them generously and compassionately, this included strangers that he would run into who needed assistance.
As his wife before him, he also left a legacy we all should follow. He was also loved by everyone. Jose Trinidad Jara is now where his precious beautiful wife is, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, in his Eternal Heavenly Home. Until we reunite in heaven, his memory will remain in our hearts for as long as we live on this earth.
