Josefina Mena

Josefina Mena, 73, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, October 12, 2014. Although she fought to stay in this world with her children and grandchildren, she is celebrating her reunion with her beloved husband and son in Heaven. She was a loving, sincere, joyful and nurturing lady who always cared about the comfort of others before her own. She truly devoted her all to her family and loved ones; they were her strength and joy. She will be immeasurably missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband: Pedro and her loving son: David. She is survived by her sons: Pedro and Eddie (Susana); daughters: Leticia (Anthony) and Cynthia; grandchildren: Scott, Steven, David, Erika, Zeke and Anna; sister: Emma; sister-in-law: Julieta; several nieces and nephews and her devoted pet Nikki. Pallbearers will be Pedro Mena, Eddie Mena, Scott Evans, Steven Evans, David Mena, Anthony Duran, Jose Ponce and Robert Ponce. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
