

Josephine Dolores Tracy of El Paso, Texas passed away on February 27, 2015. She was born March 15, 1940 in El Paso, Texas, daughter of the late Joseph S. Tracy & Conchita Tracy (nee LeRoy). She was raised in El Paso, Texas. Josie as she was known attended Ascarate Elementary School and later graduated from Ysleta High School in 1958. In 1959 Josie joined Mountain Bell Phone Company where she dedicated her leadership & loyalty for the next 30 years before retiring in August 1989. Josie is preceded in death by her sister Frances C. Hedderman (10/13/12). She is survived by her sister MaryAnn Spohn. She was the proud aunt to Teresa Collett, William Hedderman III (Leann), Joseph Hedderman (Lidia), Michele Hedderman (April), Chris Spohn, and Cathy Crow (John); Grand Aunt to Joey Hedderman, Justin Hedderman, Amanda Devenport, Elisabeth Hedderman, Ashley Hedderman, Justin Hedderman and Great-Grand Aunt to Ashlynn Crow, Madalyn Devenport, & Cameron Devenport. We called her our Aunt “J”. Josie was a devoted Catholic, from the Days of Little Flower Church to St Raphael’s. She was a member of the Altar Society (Sacristan) and the Devine Mercy. She enjoyed bowling, which took her around the country to bowl in various tournaments and held offices within El Paso Bowling Associations. Josie was a proud and loyal American. She enjoyed conversation, especially about politics, religion and our country. Aunt J was certainly special. She took care of us and loved us all. The Hedderman & Spohn families would like to express our sincere appreciation to Martha Salinas for over 22 years of helping Aunt J and our grandparents. We would also like to thank the kind people from Gentiva Hospice, specifically, Fred, Maritza, Claudia, Olphelia, Norma and Liz. Finally, the family would also like express our sincere gratitude to all the friends and families that expressed their support, thoughts and prayers during the last months of Josie’s journey.
