Julia D. Smith

Julia Dell Smith, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 26, 2011, in El Paso, Texas. Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Julia loved to spend time with her family, was a skilled contract bridge player and an avid reader. Julia also enjoyed planning vacations and travelling the country.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years John Dryden Smith Jr.; son John Dryden Smith III and wife Liz of El Paso Texas; daughter, Julie Smrt and husband Chuck of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Allison Henschel and husband Robert of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren Andrew Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jared Henschel, Brian Henschel; brother Warren Dale Williams and wife Pam of Vidor, Texas and sister Carroll Jean Frazier and husband Romie of Vidor, Texas.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Julian Dell and Eunice Williams and sister Kathryn Hutson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday December 3, 2011 at 10:30 am at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East, 1460 George Dieter, El Paso Texas 79936.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Envision Hospice in memory of Mrs. Julia D. Smith.
