Julieta Gutierrez didn’t just live life. Those who were lucky enough to meet her, to speak with her, and to laugh with her know that it went so much deeper than that. She would laugh, cry, admonish, and embrace at the drop of a hat. She was a maelstrom of activity, with the love and warmth of a family at its core, all the way up to her final days. Even after her passing she had them laughing for hours into the evening. She leaves lifetimes of laughter, of stories, and love with all of us. Her light giving us warmth for multiple lifetimes, and a unique responsibility. Julieta would not want us to stop the world for her passing, but to keep on living in lieu of her presence. She would want us to live life the way she did. To become our own maelstroms, with the love she gave us at its core.
Julieta is survived by her 2 daughters, Herlinda and Stella Gutiérrez, 3 grandchildren, Michael Angel Gutiérrez, Jennifer Sara Gutiérrez Lopez, and Jaime Salvador Lupercio, 2 great grandchildren, Tobias Lopez, and Gabriel Salvador Gutiérrez. Also included are countless nephews, nieces, cousins godchildren and friends.
