Julio Zapata, a cherished resident of El Paso, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 20, 1935, Julio lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
A visitation will be held in his memory at Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, on February 2, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. During this time, a Rosary Service will also take place at 5:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 4805 Byron St, El Paso, TX 79930, on February 3, 2026, at 11:00 am. Following the mass, a Graveside Service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, 8700 Dyer St, El Paso, TX 79904, at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Julio and Trinidad Zapata would prefer donating to Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church on their behalf. They were devoted volunteers of the Catholic Church.
Julio will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
