HALL Leonard Arnold Hall (Halstensgaard), born May 14, 1933 to Oluf and Mathilda Halstensgaard, Bear Park township, MN. He succumbed to a valiant battle with illness on Sept 18, 2012. At 17, he moved to Los Angeles Ca. to start a family and a business. In 1978, he came to El Paso, Texas where he began in real estate. Soon, after, he opened ?The Second Hard Store? at the corner of Cotton and Myrtle. Leonard knew that everything had a second life -- sometimes a 3rd and 4th. ?His motto? was simple: ?Why buy new, when used will do!? He greeted everyone with a warm and friendly: ?Good morning!? Leonard was extremely giving and generous, beyond his means, making multiple donations. Whether it was Leonard, or Mr. Hall, he was everyone?s friend. Most recently, a 9 year old handicapped child had his electric wheel chair stolen from his mother?s car. Upon hearing the news, Leonard donated his most expensive wheel chair to the child. This was followed by tears and gratitude by mother and child. Leonard cried in private. Leonard was 6?2??, 220 lbs, and loved working 6 ½ days a week, 15 hrs. a day. Today, he resides in the Kingdom of Heaven, no doubt collecting unwanted merchandise from those arriving and donating it back to Humanity. He is survived by four children, David (Rhonda), Connie, Donald and Carol and seven grandchildren. Leonard is also survived by many, many friends in El Paso Texas. He was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 8:30pm with a vigil prayer service at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 25th at Harding- Orr-McDaniel Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 26th at St. Patrick Cathedral. Services entrusted to Harding- Orr- McDaniel Funeral Home, 320 Montana Avenue. www.FunerariaDelAngelHarding.com
