Licha Romero, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished member of St. Anthony Church, went home to the Lord on January 27, 2026 at the age of 88, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, joy, and unconditional love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Licha was a woman whose life was guided by her deep Catholic faith. She found comfort and strength in praying her rosary. She had a joyful spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed singing and dancing, working through crossword puzzles, and settling in to watch her beloved cowboy movies. She had a beautiful way of making those around her feel special, especially on their birthdays, which she celebrated with love and tradition by singing Las Mañanitas—a gesture that will forever echo in the hearts of her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Romero and her son Antonio Romero. Luisa is survived by her children, Frank Romero (Belen), Terri Romero (Edward), Joaquin Romero (Eileen), Carlos Romero, Melissa Romero (Jose), who carry forward her strength and values; her surviving sister, Paula Murillo, who shared a lifelong bond with her; her grandchildren, Vanessa (Gabriel), Jeremy (Brianna), Jaclyn (Jasmine), Tony, Denee (Adrian), Christian, Troyan, Jalen, Eddie, Jacob, Trinitie (Greg), Isaiah and Isabella, who brought her immense joy; her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Ada, Josiah, Gaby, Gion, Noah, Avery, Ani, Ayden, and Sasha, whom she adored.
The family would like to extend a very special and heartfelt thank you to Eileen Nevarez for the extraordinary care, compassion, and dedication she showed to Licha in the last stages of her life. Eileen’s loving presence, patience, and tireless support were a true blessing, and the family will always be grateful for the kindness and dignity she gave to Licha during her final journey. The family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to Tender Care Home Health and Hospice for their care, kindness, and support.
Though Licha will be deeply missed, her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the arms of the Lord, reunited with her husband and son, and singing with the angels. Her faith, her songs, her laughter, and the love she poured into every life she touched will never be forgotten.
