

Lillian Meraz Gomez, 78, of El Paso, TX, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1946, in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1964, went on to attend and graduate from Durham Community Business College in 1967. Lillian worked in banking for several years, even becoming a bookkeeping supervisor. She then changed career paths and began working for the American Red Cross in 1998 until she retired in 2011. After retirement, she enjoyed cooking, listening to music, gardening, traveling, and watching her favorite shows to include her favorite soap Days of Our Lives. Lillian also enjoyed keeping up with the latest technology. She loved her dog Benji who was always by her side. Lillian was a hard worker and put her all into anything she did. She had a great smile and was liked by everyone she met. Lillian was a humble and kind soul.
She was a devoted wife to her husband, Robert of almost 60 years, and a loving mother to their three children, Diana, Robert, and Lillian (Nanette), wonderful grandmother to Gabriel, Jaykob, Brandon, Joshua, Valerie, Jeremiah, Lauren, and Alexis (Lexi), and great-grandmother to Aiden, Elijah, and Elena. Mother-in-law to Tommy Bolenbaucher and Tammy Gomez. Grandmother in-law to Ciera Milam.
Lillian was also a beloved aunt to several nephews and nieces. She had friend’s of all ages, who she cherished.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Manuela Meraz, sister Lucy Aldington, and brother Armando Meraz, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
A visitation for Lillian will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A prayer service will occur Monday, October 28, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:30 AM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 East Montana, El Paso, Texas 79938
