Chela is survived by her children: Mina, Leandro Jr.,and Melinda; brothers: Pedro and Alfonso; grandchildren: Frankie, Melissa, Valerie, Carlos, Erick, Armando, Celeste, Aracely, Alejandro, Adrian, and Angel; great-grandchildren: Frankie Jr., Christiann, Brianna, Mariano, Aariyah, Brayden, Bentley, Eli, Ella, Ellie, Destiny, Victoria, Jayleen, Julian, Janelle, and Sofia.
Chela is also preceded in death by her husband, Leandro Sr., and daughter, Maria "Chayo".
Visitation for Chela will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel - Hillcrest West, 5054 Doniphan Dr., El Paso 79932 with a Vigil Service beginning at 6:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 4006 Hidden Way, El Paso, 79922 followed by the 11:30 am Committal Service at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
