Luis Albert Andrew Mata

A memorial service for Luis will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, followed by a rosary at 1:00 PM.

Luis Albert Andrew Mata unfortunately passed away at his residence in El Paso TX on November 28th, 2024. He is the only son of Patricia Mata. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico on August 19th, 1984. Luis joins in death his beloved Grandparents Luis and Esperanza Mata, his Mother Patricia Mata, and aunt Gina Mata and recent passing of first cousin Michael Charles Mata.

Luis is father to Emmika Mata. He loved his daughter dearly and did everything he could to see her, visit with, and spend time with her. Luis Mata was a compassionate friend in his community and enjoyed doing activities such as watching sporting events at local town bars splashed with adult beverages and savory wings. Playing at the basketball court with friends were among other good times for him. Luis was known for being highly intelligent and bluntly humorous. Being around him meant having a good time. Luis had such a big heart for people around him and he truly enjoyed helping others to the best of his abilities. He will always be remembered for being a kind and loving individual.

As we remember Luis for the true teddy bear that he was, he is going to missed dearly. We will never forget his bright beautiful smile, and we hope and pray that he joins his mother in eternal peace.
