Lyman Edward Dutton II

Lyman Edward Dutton II, known as Eddie to friends and family, passed away on Thursday June 15, 2023. He is survived by two nieces, Kristine Shellenbarger and husband Robert of North Carolina, Cheryl Ketchersid of New Mexico; a great niece Heather Shellenbarger of North Carolina and a great nephew Thomas Ketchersid II of Arkansas.

Eddie worked in the printing business with his father for many years but later found his passion for helping and educating others. He loved teaching CPR and being a part of the church he also loved a good joke and would often slip one in during mid conversation that took you off guard and made it even funnier. Although his body turned against him and made his life difficult he always found a way to help others left fortunate then he was and he rarely complained about anything.

The family would like to say a special Thank you to the El Paso fire department who went above and beyond and truly cared for Eddie over the last six months, to the health care workers and to the ladies at the foster home who took such good care of him. All of you made a huge difference and we are truly thankful.

A Graveside Service for Lyman will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 10:30 am at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 8700 Dyer Street.
