Manuel M. Ortiz

Manuel M. Ortiz went to meet our lord on December 15, 2016. He departed peacefully surrounded by all his earth Angels, his Wife, Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. They were his immediate caregivers if not for their loving care his journey would have been much harder and shorter. Manuel was born to Jesus and Luz M. Ortiz on August 30, 1930. Manuel is preceded in death by his Parents and Sister: Socorro Perez. He is survived by his Wife: Virginia, Brothers: Jesus & Ricardo Ortiz, and Sister: Maria Elena Stewart, Children: Luz Isela Gamboa, Ana Cristina Gamboa (Luis), Belinda Shadrick (Robert), Manuel M. Ortiz Jr. (Rosario), Samuel Ray Ortiz (Maria Guadalupe), Grandchildren: Virginia Becerra, Billy Gamboa, Leonor Provencio, Nicolas Gamboa, Celina & Andreana Gamboa, Noelle & Robert Shadrick Jr; Joshua & Gabriela Ortiz, Samuel R. Jr; Krystal & Isaac Ortiz. Great-Grandchildren: Hailey Shadrick, Isabel Aguilar, Joaquin Becerra, Samuel R. III, Neziah and Jayden Ortiz, and Ava Gamboa. Manuel was a Korean War Veteran, who worked for Safeway Stores, Falstaff Brewery and retired from U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Services. Special thanks to Victor and all the personal from CIMA Hospice, Miri & Laura from Shield of Grace and Mari who has been with our family for many years. Visitation: December 19, 2016 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest-Carolina with Vigil at 7pm. Mass: December 20, 2016 at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church at 12:30pm with Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery ETA: 2:00pm.
