It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Manuel S. Quintana, who left this life to be with the Lord on August 5, 2025, at the age of 93. Surrounded by loved ones, he departed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, patience, and unwavering love for his family.
Manuel was a U.S. Army veteran who had a diverse career. He primarily worked in insurance sales, was a barber, and volunteered at a hospital during his retirement. He dedicated time to praying for patients and comforting their families, and he faithfully served in his church throughout his life. Manuel enjoyed traveling, taking long walks, reading, spending time with his family, and watching Mexican films from the Golden Age.
Manuel's legacy lives on through his children: Jesus Manuel Quintana, Nora Elena Ordaz, Ana Delia Quintana, and Victor Manuel Quintana. His granddaughters, Ashley Renee Ordaz, Yazmine Analise Ordaz, and grandson-in-law Abel Peña, and great-grandsons, Elijah Matthew Peña Ordaz and Isaiah Alejandro Peña Ordaz, will carry his memory forward with love and pride, ensuring that his spirit lives in our hearts.
Manuel was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Luz Elena Quintana; his son, Jorge Jesus de la Vega Rochín; his parents, Manuel Quintana Sr. and María de Jesus Sáenz; and his siblings, Dora Quintana, Sylvia Rodriguez, Antonio Quintana, and Raul Quintana.
Born on February 15, 1932, in Velásquez, Chihuahua, Manuel lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to God, family, and community. He was known for his kindness, patience, sense of humor, and generous spirit. He touched countless lives and made the world a better place.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the moments we shared and in the many lessons Manuel taught us about love, perseverance, and the importance of supporting one another.
Rest in peace, Manny. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
